Ive never asked for help ever! Please HELP ME!!!!

Im 30 just getting into video games and i seen the God of War2 game. I didnt want to play it until i beat God of War 1 which i know is old news to most of you. Everything was going great until i reached the ending of a board known as Temple Of Eurayle. I come to a chambered hole in the ground where i cannot jump back out. Gates lower as i pull a lever. One gate all the way the other 2/3rds of the way. The walls on both sides bust out and enemies are behind one wall (the one to the right and there are 2 enemies there). There is a dead body to throw on top of the button in the center of the room, but the other button behind the partially open gate is where i get lost. Spending hours in this room trying to figure it out i also discovered there is a light up top i can swing on and jump up to an elevated position with two chests. Although i cant remember how i even did that. It helps me not in getting out of this Zeus forsaken room. Someone anyone please help me and tell me at least an idea of what i must do to move along. Im getting extremely frustrated now. Thanks

This is actually quite a simple one, no offense.

Bust open the walls, take out any enemies etc. etc. Bust open the chests on the elevated place, basically just pick up as much as you can before you move on. Now, with the dead body, you will notice that the water running behind the walls actually just revolves in this room, it doesn't run anywhere else. Place the dead body in the current (R1) and run and jump behind the partly closed gate, stand in the water, wait for the dead body to come, pick it up, place it on the button. this will open one of the sections of the gate that gets you out of here. then jump over the gate, run over to the other button, stand on it, then time a run through the door.
