i think the plasma rife is better. the pistol takes to long to charge up after you fire the blob of plasma

charge ur plasma pistol up to take out an elites shield then give it a head shot with your magnum especially good on legendary

Basically you need a human weapon and a alien weapon...
Alien weapons are for taking down the shield
Human guns for k****ng them

Hint for beating enemys on Ledgendary!!
Elites, charged plasma pistol & battle rifle.
Grunts, any projectle weapon in the head
Jackels,any automatic weapon
Hunters, shotgun and any sniper weapon in the back
Drones,any weapon will do
Brutes,any projectle weapon in the head
Hint. Try shooting enemys in the head and shoot the hunters in the back or any orange spot. Thats how I beat the game on ledgendary
