he escapes in one of those cryo tubes....then while master cheif is escaping he finds the cryo tube floating in space.....

Actully Johnson gets killed from the first halo because i have first strike and it said The red team(spartans)tried to save him but they failed and he and the spartans(masterchief was not involved)
