Back last year, me and my brother was playing co-op on the level "outskirts". I was driving a warthog, with a marine on gun and a marine riding shot-gun, and my brother was driving/riding a ghost. we drove/rode through the tunnel killing the enemys, like you would. Then we got bored, so we dicided to race each other.
I accelerated at the same time as he did, of course he was using boost, and we was both going at the same speed.
So why do people say ghosts are the fastest?

i guess because they are the smaller than the 'hog so it looks faster,plus the waves coming from the wings,although when i race,the 'hog 0wn3s the ghost lol

Hm i would have to say the warthog is better cause its a better rough terrain vehicle than a ghost. plus a ghost is easier to kill or explode than a wart hog...so by sience and theory the wart hog is better...that is speed wise

Well the gauss warthog is the best. Instead of machine gun, it has a RPG or artillery gun or something like that. It does loads of damage more, but less accuracy & firing rate.
My all-time favorite full-size sedan, the LTD Crown Victoria! This one's an 1989. Why don't they put good old beasties like these in the NFS games? Good ol' 390 Cleveland V8 power! Don't ya dig the flames?

the warthog isnt so good because it flips easily but it is good because it is fast, and has the gun to shoot people.

i agree with arbitor the ghost is much better than the worthog in the fact that you need more than one person to shoot the worthog and the ghost is just yourself you dont have to depend on anyone
