Of course, it wouldnt be halo2 if it had cheats, but ive found the sword in the stone cuz i was messin around without help, i like to bend the laws of physics in halo games by finding kewl spots, and yes the stone is difficult to get to, crouch jump is needed.

okay, right in the beginning go to the first hallway and jump like your getting the blind skull, jump back over the hole onto the other ledge, then grenade jump onto that ledge in front of you, and run to the left. jump over to that building. then, put a grenade next to the ledge and grenade jump sideways to the next ledge.crouch jump onto the next building. run to the edge of this building and jump down to the broken freeway thing. run accross and jump onto the little rail. Carefully crouch jump up to the building, if u miss theres no way out so you have to go back to the checkpoint.ontop of this building, run sort of to the right and drop to the next building. run forward jump on the air vent things and then to the building.once on the building turn to your left. drop inside of the hole in the building and turn around. now you found your sword. but this is not the only way there are many other ways.
