Nope, basically, they are there so that Bungie doesn't have to expand on their maps. Basically, treat them as you would a wall.

Actually there is. Its called overloading the map. Google it.

Yeah, you can overload, but then you'll get hit with the invisible barrier.

The general idea of overloading, is to go into forge, and keep activating as many mines as possible. (It's easiest to do with them) Just set the mines to respawn every sec or so so that you can keep throwing new ones. When enough pile up, the map overloads, on a map like Construct, it would make it so the lifts don't work/disappear. Live life as the exception to the rule.

It is, it only takes like, 5 min to overload a map if you do it right. Not hard.

basically it means you can block of parts of the map (good for infection), you could put a crate in the lift and then put a reciever node ontop to keep it in place, it'l mean they can't use the lift.
to stop the towers on sandbox, glitch yourself out of the skybubble (needs another person, and a turret) then put double walls over the eyes of the towers, this stops them for hitting you, they still shoot but there is no flashing and you don't die. Now you have a desert with almsot limitless opourtunities. |

yeah but it doesn't always work its far better to block them off using double walls or wood bridges.

The only thing that really stinks is even invurable doesn't even work against the guardians. I have heard of this glitch Cyber is talking about, but I could never do it myself, but I've seen others do it.

just spawn 2 tripmines next to each other, set them to instant respawn and kept trowing them in one spot, the pile gets bigger and bigger, when they explode on their own it should overload the map deactivating the guardians, works 90 of the time.

Another way to disable the guardians is to go into forge, play on any map. And the host should take out his harddrive of his Xbox 360, it'll freeze the host's xbox but it will disable the guardians for everyone else in the game. No way I am going to try that. The X-Box warns you while saving to not take out the harddrive for a reason. I assume it is the same thing for everything else in the game.

overloading the map does not work on snadbox, just discovered that the hard way.
