Halo Tourney

Heres a question. Would a SuperCheats Halo 3 online tournament make this forum more active?

If you all say yes we will need 3 ladders, each with 2 brakets (winners & loosers). The reaon we need 3 is 1 for US, 1 for EU and one for Asia, Austrailia etc.

We will need competitive maps and game types of a hight standard. Which shouldn't be too hard for me to do, but if anyone else has a high standard competitve style map, they are welcome to include. We will need to see hi-def screen shots to see what the maps are like and links to the file share slot it's in.

An important thig to do is to what gametypes should be used and what settings.

If all goes to plan this could work well

I shall be gone for 2 weeks starting july 4th because i'm in Florida for MLG Orlando and my well earned holiday.

I would say yes, because I barely go on here and gets boring most of the ime. I like how you thought taking screenshots for each match. I'll support this.

I'll have to get back to Halo, too much CoD4. I'll get my skills.

i meant screen shots of the maps when people submit theirs, but yeah screens of the matches would be good.

not sure when we should start the sign ups and decide maps, gametypes etc.
Should it be team or free for all?

Also no idea what the prize could be.

I could only submit map screen shots over live though, I can't get them to my pc, let alone use Sc on my Pc.

My try at this failed.
But if you want to try it, then you have the approval of a hub mod. It could work, if anything, we could organize a game between a few people.I can help with maps when I get back to US a month from now. We should have team games.

ok yeah that would work if we can't get lots of people. I said in my hub mod aplication that i could make the forum more active by having tournaments etc. so i'm sticking to my word (making forum more active not just the tournament)

3 out of 4 hub mods aggreeing means it's a go ahead.

So team slayer is a definate but should we ahve CTF and Assault? or mabey team oddball? etc.

We should first focus on games maps, then everything else. Also think of the rules. I cant do anything till I get back to US. =/

Well if its ok I'm in on this with admin approval i believe the reward for #1 team should be the mod spots.

No number 1 team will never ever get mod spots. <_< Prize will probably be a sig or something....
Jam Jar is an MLG gamer so I am sure he can supply most of the maps, but we can use yours to.

I'm game. I thing we should have 3v3 or 4v4 teams on MLG maps. Ball, CTF, Slayer, and KOTH are good gametypes. SWAT would be pretty cool too.

Yes you can hope but if you actually do hope then you deserve a facepalm.:P

Oh, and 1 thing, your avatar has recieved about 11 reports in staff, so could you please remove it so:
1:People arent offended
2: We dont have to wait until a root admin sees the report. (Regular admins can not remove avatars,)
3: If we have to wait for a root, then you will have your sig and avy perma locked.

Does everyone have the Legendary maps ? If so, I have this sick version of Blackout we could use.

I dont have them so we cant use those.

Maybe the prize should be some MS points or a 2 day XBL account.

Jam Jar: Map you showed me is good, but I'd say for around 4 to 6 people on FFA Slayer would be best option for it.
Also I don't have the Legendary maps so I can't play them.

Edit: And if I may suggest, I think a 1v1 ladder could work as well. It's just that I think that varying on how experienced the people on SC are considering some may use map call outs and some may not would strain the teams a little bit. FFA is a good choice in this as well but there is always the matter of fact of just pure kill stealing to win the whole thing.

That map was something I made while bored, and you brought it on yourself >_>
Also I can play any maps on the Legendarys or Cold Storage, I'm going to try and make a map for this later.
