ok, maybe I'm crazy, but I'm completely stuck at the whomping willow where I'm supposed to get past the ghost dogs. The note that Hedwig brings says to use a beam from a Lumos spell, but I've tried and tried and I keep dying. Can someone help, please?!

hold the button that is equiped with Lumos and then cast, try and keep the ghost dogs in the beam and soon it will die

Light up the Lumos when the dogs are near you and they will grow weak keep it up til they die
