so...can anybody help out a LOT and let us in on what the goals of each chapter are? I'm in chapter 2, and have no idea what to do, lol. i know in chapter one, you're meant to get married, but after that.....

yeah took me a while to figure this out, but for chapter 2-4 your goal is to raise your son/daughter. When i say that i mean, you can steer your child into a career path that you want them in. Show your kid items from your bag, and play with him/her a lot and you should do fine...

i'm trying to save up for the great field. i know it will be an excellent investment
[edit: hey guess what guys - i actually got a daughter!!! even though the game says shes my son. In chapter 3 you can see shes definately a girl!! cool. but whats weird is at end of chapter 2 - starting of chapter 3, game was going through things saying 'your child is bit older' and then saying 'your grandchild likes to do the same things as you' etc...stuff like that - why is my daughter being called either my son or my grandchild?
if i wake up late - like 7.30am or 8am or later, my daughter comes and tells me that she has watered the crops

well yes the great field is a very good investment. so you got a daughter, cool, but i guess they kept the story referring to her as your son so they didn't have to change much. but i'll have to try waking up later, then i won't have to water anything...

when your grass is a dark green you can cut it, and i don't really know any cutscenes because i only unlocked a couple.

if you got no fertiliser you cant cut the grass, where does the great field go and is it just a field?

you have to buy all the tools (well thats what i read somewhere and i managed to get it without getting the clippers) it takes forever for takakura to do the great field! think its like a season, im still waiting for it

talk to takakura after getting so many things around the farm and he'll mention it then you can order it from the building upgrades...
