Here are some hints that might help you in the game.

Heart Colors:
Here are the heart colors in the game for NORMAL valley girls. Wear a truth bangle to know what you're doing! 65535 is the most AP you can get on a normal valley girl.
0-10000 black-----event color!
10000-19999 purple----event color!
20000-29999 blue-----event color!
30000-39999 green
40000-49999 yellow-----event color!
50000-59999 orange
60000-65535 red


How to get fishing pole:

Go to Galen's house on a Sunny Saturday around 10am-1pm. If the even about the fishing pole doesn't happen, then just keep walking in and out of the house. If you don't know where it is, it's the house that is surrounded by a huge farming area. You'll see a lot of colored grass, twigs, stones, and weeds.


What NOT to encounter:
If you're planning on marrying a girl, then you shouldn't encounter rival events!! Rival events are events that a guy will try and flirt with all of the normal valley girls. Here are the times and where the rival events will happen.

Nami and Gustafa at the pond by Cody's
Lumina and Rock at the Goddess Pond
Muffy and Griffin at the bar
Celia and Marlin at the seed shop with Vesta
Flora and Carter at the digsite

Evil Homeless Guy:

Everytime you faint, Murray will take half of your gold! Just be careful, try to resist fainting at all costs.

well not a hint but keep your game away from hot places and dont drop while playing because it will freeze the game and if to hot the loads are erased (its happened to me) and sometimes the game wont work
and i have a hint if you have unlocked Jet (a harvest sprite) then go to his shop with the harvest moon friends of mineral town game in and he will have 5 more records

if you save durning ANY moving oject even rain and mining animals your game may glitch to!!!!

how do keep your field free from weeds,grass,logs and stones?

say things about how the fields work. Your farmland is normal crop-growing. Fields that are not by the goddess pond and waterfall are slow crop-growing fields. Fields that are around the goddess pond and waterfall grow 1 day faster than you farmland. The superfield behind the waterfall is the fastest.
