Wild animals

For the dog near the light house how many times do you need to give it milk to get another heart. Mainly between the 4-5 and 5-6 heart?

Ill just list the animals and what they all like. I believe you can give them presents 2x a day but I am not sure how many times you need to give the item to get each heart.
Beagle/Chihuahua- Milk, Hot Milk, Goat Milk
Border Collie/Big Dog- Milk, Mushroom, Pineapple, Banana, Coconut, Potato, Turnip, Cabbage
Border Collie- Catfish
Big Dog- Salmon
Cats- Sashimi, Bouillabaisse, Meuniere, Roasted Herb Fish, All Fish (except Squid, Octopus, and Lobster)
Orange and White Cats- Breadfruit
Monkey- Corn, Yam, Strawberry, Watermelon, Apple, Banana, Chocolate Banana, Banana Milk, Grilled Yam, Roasted Tuna
Turtle- Crayfish, Freshwater Prawn, Shining Sashimi, Shining Sushi
Rabbits- Cabbage, Corn and Yam (Grilled or not), Pumpkin, Carrot, Spinach, Strawberry, Apple, Turnip, Potato, Grilled Chestnut
Weasels- Corn, Strawberry, Grape, Orange, Cherry, Sashimi, Apple, Fish, Chestnut, Mushroom, Turnip, Cabbage, Potato
Raccoon- Apple, Chestnut, Perfect Yam, Cherry, Grape
Boar- Potato (Boiled or not), Corn, Pumpkin (Boiled or not), Yam(Boiled, Grilled, or not), Chestnut(Grilled or not), Honey
Squirrel- Corn (Grilled, Boiled, or not), Pumpkin, Yam (Grilled or not), Spinach, Strawberry, Orange, Grape, Cherry, Very Berry, Blueberry, Grilled Chestnut
Penguin- All Fish
Bear- All Honey, All Fish (Grilled or not), Royal Jelly, Mushroom, Chestnut, Apple
