I personally liked KH2 better. Partly because it seemed more like a movie turned into a video ame, more than a video game with cutscenes (Don't get me wrong, KH1's story telling was top-notch). And partly because It was moe hack n' slash. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

i personally think that no.2 is better the ending of kh1 was just uber-fail i enjoyed the battle style of 2 more than 1 because u could set potions to your quick cast list but the way of recovering mp in no1 was better

In KH1, the MP system was too easy to beat the game with, especially if you had MP rage. They changed it in KH2 so it would be more of a challenge.
I perfer KH2 over KH1 because the game was made both easier and harder in every way. One aspect of KH2(and Final Mix+) that I liked was the enemy being able to hit you continuosly. How else would you be able to have 10 Terras constantly hitting you and never letting you hit the ground?

KH2 was actually easier in every way than KH. I can't site an intance in which it was harder.

I think KH2 had better graphics and had a better Sora. The different drives were cool too. But KH1 had a better storyline/plot.
