I'm stuck in the first section of the maze(iPad version). Every time I cast Revelio a ladder appears but never stays. Please help!

Hi there. That seems to happen a bit throughout the game with the iPad. Move the character around a little, sometimes standing where the ' spotlight ' itself is can help. Annoying, but eventually you'll cast the spell from somewhere where the ladder will appear and remain.
