In the wider ME universe or specific game? Because I've only just finished ME2 on PS3 - haven't played the first.
Garrus is awesome, although Thane is pretty cool too. Grunt has some pretty funny lines too =D

Character you can play though? Yeah, I'd say Garrus. Love how he always says, "Just like old times". Good 'ol days of Mass Effect.

My favorite is my Shepard lol. Garrus is MAH BOI but it is quite annoying in ME2 when you want to talk to him and he is "in the middle of some calibrations". I actually like Wrex more than Grunt besides the fact that he never died in any for me in ME1 he has a lot more bro points with Shepard as you see when you meet him again in ME2. Tali is the nicest girl in the ME universe. I don't think anyone hates her. My favorite new ME2 character would have to be Legion because he is the only Geth you meet who doesn't want you dead and his lines show the robot...ness people would expect but in some conversations it can bring awkwardness or lols. There is one part in Jack's loyalty mission where you pass by some cells where the would keep the other kids besides Jack. Everyone else you go with there makes a comment which is usually something like "They kept kids here?" but all Legion has to say is "These facilities are inadequate." I think an underrated character would have to be Jacob. He isn't anything special like many of the other people on the team. He is just a normal soldier that gets the job done someone has to take that spot. He also gets credit for being one of the few black guys in the galaxy lol.

I wasn't a big fan of Jacob, he was really nice, good hearted guy. But once I started getting into the romance dialogue, I ended it quickly. He's a little awkward, and doesn't really seem into it, lmfao.
..alright, scratch that. All males in the game are awkward for the romance portion.
Hopefully there's better luck for ME3.

Voting for default FemShep is not such a good idea. If someone doesn't like the default one then they can simply make a custom one.

I'm mostly just upset because the one blonde is winning. The defult female shepard is not blonde! ;-;

From ME1: Garrus and Wrex. The best squadmates, Wrex always had the best dark humour.
In ME 2: Garrus once again, this time he's much more of a badass though. But honestly almost all of the squadmates are brilliant characters. Especially Mordin, Jack, Thane and Legion.

He would've been my normal romance, but there's just something off about him in Mass Effect 3. Less attractive, and the big thing is you don't get to interact with him half as much as in ME1. You used to be able to talk to him after every mission, and then some. Now, it just seems so less than what it was in Mass Effect 1. Pretty dissapointed about that. So, Garrus it is then! d:
I've never romanced Thane, but even though I didn't, I definitely had some tears coming on too. Such a good guy! Glad Spoiler:
