They probaly made mgs3 to stall probaly they needed more time to make the continued version of sons of liberty/substance.So metal gear fans wont get disapointed cause the game is taking to long to come out.

If they rushed imagine what it wouldve been like if they hadnt!MGS3 was a Game of the Year Nominee at the VG Awards but got beat by San Andreas(which to me wasnt anything special...) and was PSM's Game of The Year!
