Ok, I need a favor. I haven't played previous MGS games, and I really want to get into the series. I was hopeing that somebody could give me the rundown of the story so far.

No man nor WOman can merely describe the overwelming awesomeness of The Metal Gear Solid series, Ragan 6404. U have to play them to truly become one of us Metal Gear Fanboys and/or obsessies.

Yeah what Soquid Snake said is right, you have to play them to truly absorb all of its rich contents and nutrients lol.
