I don't get why they didn't make Groundon a Ground/Fire type instead of just Ground.

Yeah, and Kyroge should be a water/ice-type. The only pokemon types we're changing is adding light to previous ones, like how steel was added to Magnamite and Magnaton.

No, it's just a fire type. I don't see any reason to make it a fire/light type besides the fact that a. flares give off light, and b. fire gives off light. But then all fire types would be lights to, as well as electric.
