I know you can talk to them and stuff but whenever i try to join a game theve got going the quit,
and i always get stuck face 5 stars with 10 000 headshot kills.

the reason why we have rivals is because we can battle them again and have little battles with them that you made.

yes and no, i have six 5 star rivals which i have lost to, and i always end up facing 5 stars on random anyway.
