Do you really have to pay to play minecraft?

Oh, you mean buy a 20 dollar game that you'll enjoy more than any 60 dollar game out there? No, of course not...

You can try out Minecraft Classic for free, but it's nowhere close to what SSP/SMP is at this stage in development.

Minecraft does cost to play, but not annually. You pay once and the game is yours for the keeping, updates included. It's a good game if you love legos, but like Zelda said, you can play classic for free.

It's definitely worth it. You've got no idea how awesome things are in the game :D

ythay are right you do have to pay to play smp i only payed £7 when i bought it and smp is emenskly fun. i like the building and i like the resorce gatehering. i have a fue complanets about the game hpwever . but im not going to waste ity fpr you if you do want to play it

also you get mods for the game that add new things to it . you also get new maps or player made maps that act like storys or mishions or guests.

but most comenly you get texture packs to give you diferent lookes with diferent blocks personaly ill recoment the painterlypack texture pak . but its you choice

but some people prefer to play clasick and thairn all corect the stuf in it is allot further down the development line that smp ir sp. notch stoped developing clasic ages ago enyway

and as for the price

as i alredy menshiond i got the game for £7 but i got it in alfa so i got it at 75 discount curently its at ether 50 or 25 discount


i wil also say i remember when i first played it i played it when it was infinidev the first incarnation of the game then stoped becouse it was crap then then i hated it then this motly nuch menshiond a game minecraft i looked at it and liked it than a while later bought it . i never looked back since.


besides i like making player skins out of the mob skines ive used evry mob skin espeshaly the zombie pig man (thanks for that one tank you do make good skins) merged with the creeper and the skeleten and defoult skin

Dude pay a few dollars once and you'll get a game better than most crap on the market today at a very low price.
