Texture Packs. My mortal foe.

So, I got DokuCraft a while back. Worked fine. Looked fine.

Beta 1.5 came out, and now the old Patcher doesn't work. So, I downloaded the new one, and that one doesn't work either, although I seem to be the only one with this problem.
I'm running Mac OS X (As much as it pains me to say it), and the instructions say that I should be able to drop it into a folder marked ".minecraft", and then the Texture Packs folder, and then I should be able to access it from the main menu in Minecraft.

The issue? I can't find a .minecraft folder on my computer anywhere. I searched it from head to toe. Even reinstalling it doesn't seem to work.

It isn't a game ending issue, but I rather liked DokuCraft, and would prefer to have it back on. Help plz?

Hmm, it's a mac, so I can only guess, but try run appdata/.minecraft/ (There's percentage signs at the start of at either end of appdata), and that should take you to it.

If only I knew how to use "Run" on a Mac.
You know, if this was a PC, the function would be on the start menu and this wouldn't be an issue. Too bad Macs don't have the Start Menu.

Scrap your Mac, buy a PC. That usually solves all Mac-related issues.

Technically it's not my Mac, it's a loner from my school. The only reason I'm using it is because they're leasing it for cheap. I've got a desktop PC (Windows XP), but that thing is very finicky about running minecraft because it's pretty old.

I plan on getting a new PC before I go into college later this year, but for now I'd like to find a fix to this for my crappy mac.

When you say the old patcher, would that be MC patcher? If not, try that.

Yeah, that one doesn't work with Beta 1.5. If you patch in a Texture Pack or anything else with it, it glitches the game and makes it crash whenever you place a block.

So that's what was causing it.....
Just wait for the new version then I guess.

I miss xau`s texture patcher, this new one is much too bugged... Ah well stuff will work eventually.

Okay, I got it to work. It turns out Mr. "I'm a Mac" was hiding the folder from me. The FAQ for the patcher told me how to find it, and now DokuCraft High Fantasy is working perfectly.
