Minecraft official release date confirmed!

Hyperfox just came back, he made a Minecraft team too. I'm guessing he'll make it a bit more active. If Stormform and you keep posting, that'll help too.

I dont think this is good at all, theres WAAY too much he needs to do and considering the rate they`re pumping out updates and how little are in each one.... Fix Multiplayer, add better mod support, better texture pack support, more mobs, more ores, new items to craft, new aspects, new game modes (maybe), better Nether, Aether?... I mean come on not even all the bugs have been fixed yet... I love minecraft to death and I love notch for making it but come on...

1.6 will be mostly bug updates, as well as fixing nether in MP.
Better mod support is also on the way, I think with official mojang approval "seal".

Actually, Notch already mentioned that previously bought accounts (Beta and Alpha phases) will still get everything.

Not too excited about this, to be honest. Notch stopped adding meaningful updates almost one year ago, I can't see Minecraft going much further. We've gone from the exciting Secret Friday Updates to the "Maybe-Once-Every-Two-Months" Updates.

Personally, I hope Notch adds a few more game modes.
Such as Zombie Siege, but I heard that was scrapped. (Which bites hard! I was looking forward for that!)

Also an adventure mode would be cool, as I'm sure most of you have heard of how that works. No destroying blocks.

Or capture the flag, now just imagine that all on multiplayer.

I'd be occupied for ahwile.

OH. Robots. I demand robots. I don't care if it doesn't fit with Minecraft, I want robots!
Heck, I want alien ships to come by and drop them off on nights. Along with aliens and such. That'd be sweet, or am I alone on this?

And alien creepers Like aliens from a planet where there are only creepers(Lots of craters there XD) That would be so awesome 0_0

Hmn, another prefix'd creeper? There'd have to be something more riskaaaay about them. The ability to float possibly with a larger explosion (not as large as a Charged Creeper mind you) would make them more lethal. However to balance it out they'd give out a glow noticeable from a bit of a distance and make a more noticeable noise as well, like the oh-so-clich� alien "woowoowoo" noise. If that makes any sense.

Now we're just talking sh1t. XD

Needs to be a few more suprising things for survival mode.

Chris is tight with Notch, ask him or if you seriously like this idea you can email it.

I also have another idea: a pumpkin mob. Like if a pumpkin gets struck by lightning they grow legs or something lol. Any more ideas then I'll have to make an idea thread.
