Herobrine is a killer. Listen to me because I've just encountered with him.lots of people say he's fake because people pull pranks.I was on minecraft single player playing with the villagers with TNT when in the distance in the fog I saw herobrine behind the ruins of a house I blew up a few min ago. Since then I made safety houses made out of obsidian when herobrine attacked and killed me. I exited and deleted the new world and made a new world and in few hours of destruction I saw him again! That time I put on a cheat and turned into creative mode and diden't delet the world! If you this send it to mojang or notch immediately. Spread the word.

Herobrine is real, I have even seen him on my xbox. Beware he is very creepy, but a extremely curious subject.

Herobrine is, in a sense, both real and fake. I'll explain.
Herobrine was never officially in the game as an NPC. This was confirmed by Notch on twitter, claiming it was a bogus rumor. I believe there were no files for any entity that would resemble Herobrine either.
However, as he got so much popularity they added references to him in the game (For example, one of the patch updated lists "- Removed Herobrine", and the Xbox version states that they think they took Herobrine out), and many people have made mods to add him into the game.

Herobrine is real my family can see ghoust and I was on a server and he was in front of me I heard the disc that is black and ruined and there was fog all of aaa den it said everyone died by ... And then minecraft crashed

I've had strange occurences on 360 1.7 . I've never seen him though. I have no proof, but I think he is real, but rare. Look up HeroBrine Spotted? by TheGamingLemon on Youtube.

That is a mod. If you want proof he isn't in the game I'll make a video showing you he isn't, and how you can easily mod him into the game.

HEROBRINE IS NOT IN THE GAME!!!!!!! My proof is that people have gone through the files of minecraft and haven't found one trace of HIM except for if they edit the files themselves.
