How the hell do i kill it? ive killed loads before, ive even done four horns, but this one seems to keep killing me, im trying to use a bow because i have no strategy for it using a sword, im using Blango Fur Bow IV as its weak to ice but it still doesnt bloody die.. any tips?

I used a heavy bow gun with a guard on it. Gunlances work too. You just have to block then fire. Nothing complex.

I agree with Neko, if you use a bow and he gets mad and roars, unless you have hi grd earplug or roll near his leg, his next attack will kill you easy.

i see, i have not made a bowgun yet as i have no knowledge of them. Any suggestions for one? (one that i should be able to make at HR3)
Also, quick question, is there a quest i can complete that gives quite a few armour spheres as a reward quite often?

you can use bow,mybe w/ a lil cowardly tactic..in area 7,hide behind the pillar(big rock thingy in the middle then..-if he still has his horn- his horn will stuck in the rock -if he hornless- shoot from his sides)or(in area 3 and 9...you know what to do..go up to that...cliff(?) his attacks will be useless that way) and in other areas, safety first, don't get too far (i dont have ne tactic bout the roar,tough)
i would reccomend lances tough(the tactics is too cowardly in 7,3,n8)

Also Neko has a point hvy bowguns were my favorite in the first game.
BUT, dont do shield. its not worth it you should use the power barrel+ice shots+ level 5
