How do you get monster rubies like rathalian ruby or lao shan ruby?? Please help!

Luck, luck, luck, luck, luck, and luck. Example= i have 500+ hours on MHF2. MY friend has 100 hours flat. We did Azure lao shan lung, he got a ruby and a heavy armor sphere. the worst part was I DID THE MOST DAMAGE. Another stupid happening, we did G grn plessy, and my friend got a wyvern stone. So back on topic, it could take more than 10 lao, los, ian, and any other G class quest runs to get it. if you have friends do it with them im 90% sure you have to kill it.

Thanks, but i thought you had to break every part on its body to get it, and i don't have any friends who have the game so i guess this is gonna be hard.

That suxs. it will be hard to get it then, but if you kill it then you get the higher chance of getting it.

I thought they did make it online? Through T-mobile and the lame A$$ hotspots thats no where near me XD. The nearset one is in Edmonton, and thats a 6 hour drive for me so ef it. Anyway, it takes lots of luck to get them rubies. I remember that from MHF and my friend Ryan got it when we slayed a Rathalos -.- lucky nerd. I do all the work and he just kicks it and its dead. No joke either. He was messing around and he somehow killed it with a kick -.- funny as it was he gets a ruby and i get the a44 end of the items on that quest

i always get them i have like 16 lao shan rubies, i have even killed 16 laos adn also get wifi max to go online... its not that expensive

I dont think you can get 16 in a row.. after killing 16 lao, no 1s that lucky. Ive killed about 7 lao and got my first the other day

Predian is right. There is only like a 3% chance to get it without killing it. With killing it its like a 5% chance. Not even my friend who got worn hammer from ancient stone,a ruby and a hvy armor sphere from the same Lao is that lucky!

Srry, i haven't been on for a while, i fight the azure Lao (because t heard the rubys only came from g-ranks) with wyvern blade blood. Oh and a quick question how do you get elder dragon's blood??

I get elder dragon blood from Lunastra, Chameleos, and Teostra pretty often.

...but do the ones in the guild hall, my best haul there was 4 in one quest, and dont do G-class.

Ok, thanks i will kill a ton of lunastra and when you say don't do g-ranked do you mean that for lao ruby or elder dragon's blood.

FOR Elder D. Blood if you do G-quest, you will get better stuff than elder dragon blood :D. (don't do G-quest)

FOR Lao shan Ruby do G-quest, if you don't you will get crap stuff :C.(do G-quest)

I got 3 elder dragon bloods by jst killing Kushala Daora in gathering hall(not da g-rank and it's hard 4 me 2 kill the other elder drgons so tht's why i jst choose kushala when i'm in need of eldr drgon bloods...) yea i knw i'm jst a crappy hunter tht only knw to kill kushala and chameleos a lot of times... I can kill lunas/teostra but jst a few +_+ owh btw i hardly ever get rathalos and rathian ruby...Can those things be found in carving? Or jst in rewards?

Rubies = rewards

Anyway, its simple altogether:

Elder dragon blood = elder dragon (any rank)

Rubies = G-Rank monsters
