I heard that you can get a Black Fatalis quest if you slay 2 of every monster in the game (not including Fatalis) and complete the Training School. Is this true?

black fatalis is unlocked by downloading it.youll get the crimson fatalis quest if you do that.

Any advice on taking on the Black Fatalis? I have 2 friends that are pretty good at the game.

I would use the same tactics as any other fatalis.

though the one difference is that its a flat out area with no where to run or hide in,so its a difficult quest.

So is that the strategy involving putting it to sleep and surrounding it by bombs? Sorry, I'm inexperienced when it comes to fighting Fatalis.

If your good, you don't need to run and hide, and yes that is a good way.

that is one of the best strategies because if youy all combine your bombs he gets heavy damage done to him.lolz i feel as if im answering all your questions.
