Does any one know the name of the armour with the greatest amount of defence and the great sword the the biggest attack power?

i know the greatest sword but not the armour well at lease i dont think so the greates weapon is either the selingade (two swords joined together to form a heavy and destructible weapon[that is the description] or you could have the upgraded geyser sword (forgot the name and description) and i beleive the best armour you can get is the garuga greeves , monoblos helm , fatalis jacket U , rathalos soul vambraces (gives you a hearing plug) and a (either) stell belt U or garuga waistband. have fun fellow monster hunter

the best armor in the game is full garuga 's'...it has 36 defence.

ya i heard what stretch said that garuga 's' armor is the best armor and the best G-sword? not sure though i think to me the best sword is the antique blade has like 1000 some attack. to get that blade you can go to lvl 4 gathering quest and do gathering desert go to number 6 i bieleve it is and mine there, theres 3 mining spots and just keep mining there till you get ruststone then go to the crafter guy then go to weapons and at the last of the list theres ?????? and you gotta pay 1000 coins, you have a slim chance on getting the worn great sword which when you upgrade and upgrade you get the antique blade, the bad thing about ruststone is that you can get stuff like iron G-sword, hunters knife, iron hammer, stuff like that, so again... getting a worn G-sword, good luck on getting it...

If you have upgraded your fishing area in the farm at least once, on the second fishing spot, you have some chances of getting them... Or you can buy from the lady who sells random stuff after each quest (she has the huge bag)

There's another armor... i think it was velopry something... it has like 40 defence though, and 1+ to each resistance except uh... dragon... dragon has -1 i think... I have 1 of the pieces but i'm too lazy to check right now lol
