How are the lances I have never used them I have had them and upgraded and they looked cool but never realy used it

The lances are vary good at Head Locking and with the step back feature it makes comboing easy

Would they be any good against the sand guy with the urgent quest? I have never used the lances before but always get far with my great sword

Do you mean the Monoblos? If so, no. The Monoblos is vary fast and alwase charges. The best weapon to use would be SnS and Duel Swords. Lances and Great Swords will give you a vary small window for attacking and you will be dodging the attacks more than attacking yourself

I always use great swords they are the best

They might be but Put two people in the ring, one with a dragon sword and the other withtwin dragon ultimus, the one with the twin swords would have made the kill first

Well ya but I just like the great swords they are cool are there other great swords that dont resemble the sword on the front cover because I have the one before the golem blade and that is what it resembles

The great blades do look better than the other weapons but I still like Duels and SnS, and if Monster Hunter 3 comes out for the PS3, bows will be my new fav
