Anyways....
Is it just me, but if you try and do power slides in a normal grip race and try to apply the counter-steer rule it corrects itself too quickly?
Like in previous games this was an issue and instead you had to keep turning through the apex and then counter steer as if you had infinite grip or something.

Possibly, but it would be a very radical set-up that in real life just wouldn't work at all.

Not surprised about the Skyline being one of the best cars for grip really.
I still prefer the Porsche 911 Turbo. Evil

It is indeed one of the best, but whether it is indeed is very much up to debate.

Well I am surprised, it is not good for Grip at all especially on twisty circuits, where it just wheelspins, it gets nowhere quick.

fish man: easy with informing new members about the rules. You've got to be more "open" about it all.

Anyways...About the Skyline and it reaching high speeds and the grip issue.
The dilemma of grip on cars is that you need enough grip to prevent wheelspin and to obviously get the grip for cornering, but enough (what mechanics and engineers call it) "slip" so that there doesn't have to be a massive amount of torque required to move the bloomin' car because the tyres have too much grip.

kenny: the guy posted the same thing 15+ times.

anyways have you tried fwd cars, they are much better suited for grip and handle the corners much better then the other cars. also ive noticed they have more grip for some unknown reason.

It's to do with their front end sharpness for 2 reasons that act together:
1) They have a shorter wheelbase therefore less chassis and body to go through a corner
2) Their main source of grip is the front due to the front giving the drive obviously.

Yes but front-wheel-drive cars have much greater natural understeer than any other car, even 4/AWD. And if tyre wear did come into it, you'd be going into the pits a lot more than with a RWD car.

Murcie is back.
