Hoenn?

So, since this is the start of a new generation it'll leave us to wonder what will become of Hoenn in this generation considerin' this would be the generation in which they would receive a remake goin' by previous trends. But I personally think this generation will be a Hoenn follow-up in the same vein as G/S/C/HG/SS were to R/B/Y/FR/LG. Or it's possible that this generation will have no affiliation with Hoenn at all.

Me, I think that we'll be able to explore Hoenn again after the main story in the new region. I don't think they'll ever remake R/S. It doesn't make sense now because Gen III included a remake & that they take place in the past while these games are likely to take place either at the same time as D/P/Pt./HG/SS or after that. It would mess up the timeline.

So, what do you think? Follow-up, Remakes, Nada, or Other?

Nada. FR and LG were made almost 10 years after their originals came out, ne? They wouldn't remake a game after only 5 years...

You seem to forget that G/S/C came about only a year or two after R/B/Y & they included Kanto. So who's to say B/W won't include Hoenn. It's much more sensible than a remake when R/S hit their 10 year anniversary.

I would like to see them expand off the Hoenn region due to the fact that if they did they wouldn't really worry about making a remake since we would then have all 5 regions on the DS.

Considering Black+White has nothing to do with Ruby+Saphire, I doubt it'll be a remake. Cause, y'know... The whole reused names are obvious in a remake...

Considering the basic colours, hopefully they're going back to basics. There's been a few rumors of Nintendo "starting over" here and there, so I hope they've got a whole new design/set up for Black and White in the making.

I have to agree - I'm pretty much thinking that they may add Hoenn in as an explorable region, and possibly go into a little more depth? To me, they rushed R/S. Possibly they could add some more legendary findings and more story in the cities.

I'd love to see how Team Magma and Aqua were formed/what they're doing at the time.

I hope these games have nothing to do with Hoenn. I liked that region the least. Like Kari/DB said, I also feel they rushed R/S. Emerald was certainly an improvement, but R/S really weren't big favorites with me. :s

If the region was located near Hoenn, I wouldn't be surprised.

If they just put Hoenn into Black/White like they did Kanto in Gold/Silver, then hardly anything would be changed. If they do like they did with FireRed/LeafGreen, then they'd most likely add new areas.

Well I am hoping Hoeen makes a little debut in this game. Hoeen is where I started my Pokemon Adventure.

Yeah it will probably be mentioned like in HG/SS where you can find Crasher Wake in the Celdon Department store, but actually being able to explore Sinnoh is like 0-0.1 chance of that happening lol.

Either way,they should incorporate one of the two into the games.

I can sorta see them going into hoenn.But if they do i want it after team magma and team aqua has fallen.otherwise it would seem a bit weird since no one metions anything about a kid who stopped them befoer.

I could hope they include atlease either Hoenn or Sinnoh as a Region you could go to. It always seems like if there's only 1 region in a game then it isn't as fun. I'd personally want to see Hoenn.
