So, do you think the Unown will return this generation? The Unown have been in every set of games so far except R/S/E so is it reasonable to assume they might return again?
I think they could. I'd like to see them bring back Dive as an HM & make the Unown ruins underwater, like Atlantis.

I mean it's possible they could very well return. And yeah I think that would be cool to have them return and be under-water. However I'm not really a big unknown fan, how are they even a Pokemon lol, and they stink to.

Unown might suck, but I do like the mystery to 'em. I'd like to see some more backstory about them.

That's your opinion I guess. I'm not sayin' Unown are Tyranitar, I'm just sayin' they have a good mystery about 'em. And I'll admit that the Dive areas in R/S/E were weak, not to mention few & far between. But now with the power of the DS, imagine what they could do with it.

I liked Dive in R/S/E, actually. Although after a while, I start wondering how my little character can survive being underwater for that long.
I'm not too big on the Unown, really. Going to catch all 28 of them seems more like a pain than anything else, IMO.

I agree with this post actually, I think that if they put dive back in Pokemon white and black they could really utilize and take advantage of the touch screen. I also think that they could do a better job with the storyline of the unknown, maybe have you be able to catch a new legend if you gather every unknown and catch them. That way they would actually be worth something, and they need to actually make some shapes of the unknown rare, that way it would be harder to get the legend.

I would love to have Dive back as a HM and having to use it to go to underwater ruins is a cool idea. It would be nice to have some story to the Unown and using them to unlock a legendary would be cool.

I've always imagined the Unown to live in a parallel dimension. I think if the ruins are underwater they should make a Cthulhu-based legendary. Some of its body parts could be like the Unown due to prolonged exposure to their dimension. It could be Psychic/Water.

I agree and think that would be a good idea. However as I said they should make it hard to get. All they would need to do is make 5 of the unknown rare, and make one really rare. That way it wouldn't be easy to get every unknown and get to battle the legend.

Tch, I guess the Unown are alright. I'd like to see them back to have the fun of finding all the letters and sins again. It's definitely one of the things I do in most of the games to waste time if I get bored.
