I read a theory somewhere that claimed Resh would be a Dark type and Zek a Psychic/Light/Whatever type. It was interesting enough, and quite plausible.

There's no definitive proof of the Light type yet, but the rumours are annoying. Just because Resh looks like a mutated dragon angel doesn't mean GameFreak decided to toss in simply ONE new type. Or any new type at all. ~ Rawr.

I'd be ok with these if they didn't look almost indentical to something that came from Digimon
Anyways, this morning it was confirmed that these are both part Dragon types, but according to Serebii they could both be Pure Dragon.

Light type? isn't flash enough?... being pure dragon would suck, it doesn't look natural since the Pokemon don't look natural...

A Dragon/Psychic-Type I'd like to see. Dark/Dragon wouldn't be bad, either.
I don't like Zekrom, but turning Cloyster sideways just made me realize that everything in my childhood has been a lie. ;_;
Reshiram keeps reminding me of an Ice-Type for some reason, too. I can't imagine why.

They've revealed the box arts, DSi enhancement, everything. Also, Reshiram is Black's mascot & Zekrom is White's. I think they're based on Yin & Yang now more than ever...
When I saw these guys I was like damn. These guys are beastly! I really like the new mascots, better than Dialga & Palkia even based solely on their designs. But I must say, I prefer Zekrom. The Daisuki Club also revealed that they're both part Dragon type (as if we couldn't assume that based on their designs.)So I'm thinkin' Dark/Dragon, Light or Normal/Dragon. A new type seems more possible to me now that I've seen Reshiram. The also revealed that there will be more version differences this time around.
I really hope you can get both on one game though. I'm gettin' both versions anyway, so I don't really care.

they're more based on palkia, so I wouldn't expect them to be a type that it doesn't look like, since Reshiram looks like flying... or is it just my stupid opinion?

They also revealed that there will be a big difference between teh two verisons(not including pokemon available,pokemon rarity etc)
looking at them again i noticed reshirams arms are at the tip of its wings making it look even more stupid.
