I've been asked recently about this so I thought I would make a topic about the details of the event.
The Liberty Pass is an item you use to get to Liberty Island where you'll find Victini, who will be level 15. You will be able to download the event over wifi starting the day the game is out.
March 4th - April 22nd in Europe
March 6th - April 10th in America
However you will not be able to get Victini till you progress in the game to Castelia City. Once there you will be able to take one of the ships in the harbor to Liberty Island.
So whos downloading the event? A few people who I've talked to thought you had to get the event at a store like Gamestop. Is any of this information new to you at all?

Nope. When I preordered the game yesterday, I was told Gamestop (or atleast the one I go to) is having a huge Pokemon 'event' from 1200-1400 pacific. There I can get the game and download the Liberty Pass.

Really? I was under the impression that it was only over wifi. I was wondering why everyone was saying they were downloading it from the store.

I had a feel it was wi-fi but just to be sure, cause I do know that Serebii has gotten stuff wrong before, and they have said it.

ya it has but they have had their moments and have said in the announcements that information was wrong and to disregard it.

Probably doesn't exist for the English versions yet, but if you come across it I'd appreciate it.
Meh, tbh, I kinda like AR'ing stuff. It's a decent alternative when you don't have wi-fi and FAR simpler than having to go to some store and risk social ridicule for an even that they programmed into the game for the sole purpose to making people go to events for them.

I need to figure out how to remove the password from my router, can't connect to wi-fi using it or my wi-fi usb connector because of the password and I don't have an action replay to get the ticket.
Edit: So after an hour of repeatedly trying, my DS decided to connect to my router and actually let me download the ticket, gonna beat the second Gym Leader then go get me that nice new Victini :D

Well its both an in store and wifi event. I found that out for sure today at Gamestop.

I would find it easier obtaining the ticket over wi-fi than having to go to a store and 50 other pokemon gamers wanting to getting at the same time and it will take too much of my time.

I got it over Wi-Fi from my house. The Zorua event was the only one related to Gamestop.
In addition to seconding this, I can't use my AR with Gen V. I have to update my software to version 1.75 or something, and the last time I used my cable it wasn't letting me connect for whatever reason. I've managed fine without the AR so far, but it's getting missed events and stuff that I'm gonna miss.
So. You know. If anyone wants to trade me the Celebi so I can get Zorua...

I could give you the code for Celebi I made for pokemon Diamond (if you have it) but I could get the code for Pokemon Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver for you, so you can complete the in-game event for Zorua if you want.
