I have read Serebii, and aware of the shakey grass, but are rare to find there.
I'm currently at route 5, and can't proceed further until I defeat the Gym Leader.
But, would love to find this Pokemon beforehand. Does anyone know an easier way of possibly getting this pokemon or know of a way?

^_^; I'm not sure if it's possible, but I hope so..

It was a pain for me to find it as well. Thing is I've only seen it in moving grass before. I don't think you can find it in the normal grass at all, though I could be wrong.

It doesn't appear in normal grass from what I read. I have been at it all day, so I'm just seeing if there's another trick to this. : / I found an Cinccino(TWICE.) which is a 5 chance of finding, but still nothing of Emolga which is 10. In a way, it's funny. xDD

Shaking grass and swirling dust is the only way to find Emolga.

Here it's locations you can find Emolga by shaking grass/swirling dust.

  • Route 5 at level 20. 10 percent chance to find it.
  • Route 6 at level 23-25. 20 percent chance to find it. (All year around)
  • Route 7 at level 27. 10 percent chance to find it. (All year around)
  • Lostlorn Forest at level 20. 10 percent chance to find it.
  • Route 16 at level 20. 10 percent chance to find it.

There are more locations but you won't be to get there at this stage of the game.

Edit: >.< the percent symbol doesn't work.

Theres no trick or anything that I know of, its just luck I guess. Just keep trying and moving grass isn't all that rare. Keep the sound up on your DS and you should be able to hear when the grass is shaking. The trick is getting to the grass without running into a Pokemon before you get to the patch of grass.

Though to be honest I think the electric spider Pokemon is the best electric Pokemon you can get in the game.

Thank you guys, I might just go after the gym leader then proceed to Route 6, since it has a higher percent rate of finding this Pokemon. nwn I'll try a few more times to see if not, then time to train a Sandile and take down the fourth gym leader.

(And, I just found it. Go figure. xD Thank you guys. <3)

There is a trick to getting it or more to getting the shaking grass, route 5 is were I got mine yesterday what you do is as you just enter there is 2 grasses that lead up and then there is more grass and a trainer stand just below the grass not in it about 3 blocks away and run back and forth keep doing it back and forth back and forth and a shaking grass should appear some were with in the first 4 grasses. walk into the grass and there will be 1 of 3 pokemon there is a small chance its the one you want. you do not have to be in the grass to get shaking to appear and it always appears from with in 5 steps of were your standing when you moved use your bike to make them come faster you get one about every 20-60 seconds if your careful not to move out of range of the grass. It took me about 20 minutes to get the emolga one mostly you get this pink thing.

Edit- try not to be to close to the grass because if it shakes to deep in and you get caught into a normal pokemon fight when your done it will be gone.

edit 2- xD you can use this trick near any grass that can be shaken, that's all I think, just run back and forth close to but out of the grass tell it shows up.

Try using repels. They should work. Use repels and keep running (or walking since repels will run out faster) and wait for shaking grass. Think

The only three ways you can obtain Emolga is from that guy from Route 7 who will give you one if you give him a Boldore, find the shakey grass and hope and pray that there is one in there, or trade with someone else. I have a lot of them personally.

Good luck.
