Yes, it's another one of those threads. I see yet another problem with gen 5. After talking with IA last night, I had a WTF moment.

I swear, it's all downhill from the second gen. Only real good Pokemon was Ho-Oh.

I think it's a sign that they are running out ideas and now just throwing stuff out there to make money. :S

Buuut, despite a few bad turns, the fans remain true to one thing -

Not my favorite Pokemon but come on give them a break. At least this Gen they had tryed to make the game really good. Which I have to admit due to the story line this is the best Pokemon game yet. They've finally done something right since Gen 2.

You should read its Pokedex entry. Its an anteater Pokemon so it eats the Ant Pokemon. Theres been Pokedex entries that have made me go what in the world in this gen.

And to your other post, they actually did do something half right with the 3rd gym. As another site says that I can't really talk about here, "At the end Groudon and Kyogre beat the crap out of each other until Rayquaza descends from the clouds like Jesus and tells them GTFO."

Well I'm not in a majority here but I think the new pokemon are awesome. I think the creators have done a great job making new pokemon considering they are on number 649. I'll be the first to say that the first gen was the best, I was just a kid when the first gen came out and it's by far my favorite. I think that pokemons peak was whenever they had 386 pokemon, that number was large enough to satisfy me and small enough to keep the metagame predictable and fun. But despite my bias toward the first gen and the ruby and sapphire games, I still think that these gen 5 pokes look great, sure there are some hiccups here and there but all in all I was impressed.

As a never before player of pokemon, excuse me if I say WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?

Wait, it can't be traded over GTS because they gave it a stupid English name and included a word in their filters? Wow, clever bunch at Nintendo/Gamefreak right there.

Anyway, I've had no real problems with any of the new pokemon, a few look a bit iffy to me, but they've grown on me, several I thought I wouldn't even consider using (Mandibuzz and Escavilier for example) are now two main members of my team.

Ehh, Game Freak and Nintendo's next try at big business. Still seems that no matter how shitty the Pokemon may be, the games still sell and the companies make millions.

I just hope they stop here.

If the series gets too long, it will start to decay.

Now just to wait for a 5th gen Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Games. :o

Hold up a second. THAT'S the reason it can't be traded? I didn't understand what you meant that night you were talking about it. You mean it can't be traded because Nintendo overlooked some part of their own game's swear filter?

And agreed with you on the lineup part.

Tbh I think the Pokemon in this gen are much better looking and cooler than the last gen, Krookodile is just amazing for example.

Krookodile seemed pretty uncreative to me. Sigilyph is a better example of the awesomeness of this gen, at least in my opinion. Anyway, I kinda like Cofagrigus...and anyone who hits the link to Heatmor absolutely HAS to read it's Pokemon White entry. Seems a little...graphic.

There are some awesome pokemon in this generation, while there are some TERRIBLE ones. *cough* Amoonguss *cough*

And then there's Braviary. Braviary pwns all. Except against legendaries, rock/ice/electric types.

I guess it's easy to agree that some of 5th gen's Pokemon are creative and some are...crud. The more cruddy Pokemon you see in the next gen, the less ideas they have for new Pokemon.
