I got the blue ditto by trading my red garaydos (sp?) into my red version and teaching it mimic. Then I went to Cinnabar Island to catch a Ditto. Have Garaydos use mimic on its first turn (make sure it mimics Ditto's transform) Then just beat the Ditto down like normal to catch it. Trade both pokemon back into Crystal and there you go, a blue ditto. The Garaydos is caught at Lake of Rage.

piccolo, in every game, shinys are found randomly where ever you can find wild pokemon, so that applies for the new games too...

I foond a shiny caterpie come to think of it. it turned to a bad egg that made me mad.
