Pok'emon Diamond and Pearl are two games announced for the Nintendo DS. All we know about it is below.

* They are set in a region different to Kanto, Johto & Hoenn but contains old Pok�mon aswell as the new ones and is called Shinou. In which you start in Futaba Town
* You are capable of transferring your hard trained Pok�mon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen to these games after certain criterea have been met in Diamond & Pearl
* DP will use the DS's Wireless Capabilities and allow for up to 16 Players to be linked at once in a Union Room style situation
* There will be no new Pok�mon types but new type combinations such as Steel/Fighting
* Day/Night Feature makes a welcome return
* The Pok�dex now features a weight comparison feature. The height and weight comparisons allow you to put your own height and weight in and compare with the Pok�mon
* The Watch acts as a Pok�Nav called Pok�tchi and has over 20 Features: Time Management, Monitoring of Pok�mon in the Breeding Center, Type Chart and many more
* Voice Chat over Nintendo WiFi Connection
* Linkable with Pok�mon Battle Revolution

There will also be many trading requirements in between generations.

A Very, VERY late update for those that care...
I apologize for my sudden and long absense from my moderation spot in D/P. This was all of the information obtained that I have unwittingly missed. I am sorry for the inconvenience of my thread and I will try not to do it again.

The map of the region Shinou has recently been revealed. Added that to the main guide, and we are pretty sure it's real since Wikipedia is a trusted source. To see the map, simply click on the word Shinou in the excerpt frm Serebii.net, also a very reliable source, much credit goes to them for a cache of helpful and valuable information.
Also, I have added the section regarding the details of Cross-Gen trading between R/S/E/FR/LG and D/P.
Lastly, I have put in a few more restrictions on the Fake Pok'emon page. Contact information has been helpfully provided in the guide as well, and it will be growing annually.
