Who is Better? Lugia Or Ho-Oh?

lugia sucks ! even though he Ho-oh's weakness he is kinda like a charizard and Ho-oh is the heart gold pokemon.

Lugia Is Better Because Ho-Oh Is Fire And Flying And Lugia Is Water And Flying So Lugia Would Beat Up Ho-Oh.

Why Would You Ask???

Lugia is Psychic/Flying
Ho-oh is Fire/Flying.

Ok, Lugia is better to me here's why

Ho-oh is more offensively inclined and Lugia is more defensively inclined, so you'd expect Ho-oh to be faster, but that's not the case

lugia is faster. This doesn't sound like much of a reason, but when a pokemon has high attack and special attack, and yet low speed, this really hurts its sweeping ability, it can't tank hits because of the much smaller defense stat and a 4x weakness to rock

Basically here, Lugia has a better stat mix that Ho-oh

Also, because Lugia is much more defensive, I find it more reliable


So Lugia is way better that Ho-oh

Oh sure, an ultra defensive tankish pokemon that can wall you to death definately sucks (if you can't tell I was being sarcastic there)
-Yeah a rock type could beat Ho-oh 1,000 times more easily than it can Lugia
-The fact that Ho-oh shares the same type as Charizard, is actually very sad
-Ho-oh has better offense, but Lugia has better defense
-Higher defense makes it a lot more reliable
-Ho-oh has higher attack than it's own special attack, but its movepool clearly suggests special attacks, this makes Ho-oh quite broken

Yeeeaaaaaaahhhh. . . . Lugia sucks. Sure it has great defenses and can withstand a hit, but that's not the point of a battle - the point is to win. I have both and my Lugia's attack stats are pathetic. It is very capable of almost knocking out my opponents and then getting its *** served to it on a silver platter next turn by the pokemon that is STILL standing. Ho-oh, on the other hand, takes heavier hits, but it also dishes them out too. Though it has lesser survival capabilities, I find that lasts longer simply because my opponent's pokemon is a little on the dead side to hit back. Yes, Lugia could defeat Ho-oh in a one on one battle but remember, hydro pump is inaccurate and could easily cost Lugia the battle - and two : giving a psychic hydro pump was just a half-assed attempt at trying to balance the powers because let's face it, Ho-oh is superior to Lugia.

Yeah... Lugia is really stonger than Ho-Oh... I would like to be Lugia, because I love the sea and flying (lugia can also fly)!

btw what if they were both level 20? or 10? or 1? I think lugia would win bcause of dive (even though it's not a water type, it's flying/psychic) possibly surf, but not hydro pump because out of my 5 PP, only 1 attack hit....

Ho-Oh is actually better just cause Lugia has the avantage but it doesnt mean it and plus Ho-oh can learn ThunderBolt and Knock out Lugia

Lugia is better, It would beat Ho-Oh 9 out of 10 times in competitive battles, Lugias stats are simply better and it has a better move set and type.
