Need help building a strong lineup | Pokemon Diamond Forums

I started out with a chimchar and caught a budew, but im completely lost.All these new pokemon are confusing me especially after just coming from fire red version =D. I dont know what pokemon to catch to build a good lineup so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Get a starly to start off with, next catch a luxio and then catch som others

train the budew into reselia then reserade with a dawn stone
catch starly get shinx or pichu/ pikachu gible then abra or gyrados [center]

Actually I found out that given enough training almost all pokemon in Diamond learn very strong moves later on and stronger ones earlier too.
If you're worried about types then I suggest catching one of each: Grass - preferably Budew who evolves into Roserade Flying - If you loved Pidgeot you're going to love starly Ground/Steel - Almost anything is good except some half rock types. I don't like rock types for their weakness to like everything. Water - A must, get Gyarados who's a monster in this game or consider Shellos Electric - I got Shinx but if you're looking for quick power get Pikachu Psychic/Dark/Ghost - Always good backup for your team. I highly recommend Sneasel for this. 85% of teens have experimented with alcohol before the age of 18. If you like bagels copy and paste this into your sig. | ||

The things I recommend the most to get are these:
Bibarel as your HM User. Starly for your Fly + Defog HM User. For serious stuff: Your starter. Roserade. Gyarados. It's the only thing that can actually use Waterfall. Make sure to teach it Dragon Dance. Garchomp. The most OU thing EVAR.  [hmespeon -at- hotmail -dot- com] <~ MSN. | ||

Ty for the help guys, i just have 1 more question. Where do i get the shiny stone to evolve roseria into roserade?

I do believe there is one on Iron Island but that is a ways into the game... U can get it with the pickup ability but I think the poke has to be like atleast level 41 or something like that and even at that level it is rare to get... I could be wrong so someone may need to verify that...
