that's beyond the point fwankie... i'm just saying that smogon has some good stuff going for it and that you can learn a lot there (it was the first place I learned most competitive pokemon)
another thing I was trying to do was make an example of some things to consider when deciding on a dragon to use... (and yeah, chainchomp does fail)
also, I was trying to set an example on how to rate the pokemon... not based on how they do against each other, but how each does on a whole...what differences they have, etc, etc. it pisses me off when people people just say GARCHOMP OWNS AND I'M TOO MUCH OF A NOOB TO EXPLAIN WHY!!!!!. I thought that I might end all of that crap on at least one thread
I imagine it'd be fair, because..Modest Garchomp+252 Satk EVs with draco Meteor.. But Modest Salamence.. 252 Satk Meteor... :( too hard! It depends on moveset held items nature EVs.. But My Garchomp Beat a Sash Sally.. cuz the person using it was retarded. he used draco meteor but I had a sash :D 2 dragon claws took it down.
Its still locked away in a nintendo vault ^.^ I accidentally beat an emploeon (lv70) with a kricketune (lv89) we both used bide. Mine left him at 1hp ^.^ Then I bug buzzed him :D
fwankie here has made a good point... you can give garchomp focus sash and he'll win... but which pokemon helps your team better. for instance... specsmence hurts loads when a team's special wall is gone. special garchomp=meh. if you have lots of physical attackers, you may want to run salamence
garchomp is faster and gets access to the insanely powerful physical outrage, so if you need a revenge killer just give him a scarf and outrage away...
as far as mixed sets, salamence>garchomp because garchomp has a very crappy special attack (chainchomp doesn't work very well incase you were wondering)
garchomp can abuse sandstorm with brightpowder and sand veil. he sets up a sub and it's pretty annoying to break, while he sd's away...
what pokemon is better all depends on what role in your team you want them to play... not which one can beat the other. btw nice example fwankie
i don't really know...this is a tough one. I like Salamence more than Garchomp. Fwank did make a good valid point that made me lean more towards Mence. Mence def get's my vote.
