Catching Azelf...

Well, ML pretty much covered it on the trio.

Strategy for Cynthia: Unfortunately, Spiritomb has no weakness, so just pummel it with attacks. Roserade is a real pain if you don't have a decent Fire-type. For Gastrodon, pretty much your only hope is to call in the Grass-types. With Lucario, pull out that Fire-type again. Milotic is extremely irksome, but if you hit with high-power Grass- or Elctric-type attacks, you should be good. And for Garchomp, bring out Dialga and it doesn't get hit by a Ground-type attack. So here's what I suggest:

Dialga, Infernape, Roserade, Magnezone, Gastrodon, and Honchkrow. Have all of these at Lv 63 or higher. Hope this helped.

try teaching one of the false swipe? it won't make the foe faint at all and leave it with only 1 hp.

Anyway, Rich, just stock up on pokeballs of every type you can afford, just don't use the MasterBall on it! Have at least a couple of good pokemon that can paralyze or put it to sleep and you'll be fine, just don't poison or burn it cuz that will eventually kill it!

yes Masterballs DO NOT USE IT......yet. Rich if u ever come across Arcues event use masterball on it or darkrai but all the others are not hard to capture, if u come an catch Heatran hes one of the easiest use the Dark ball and make it sleep or poisiened. giratina is the 2and hardest cause he is ghost dragon but the best way is to freeze the pokemon and throw dark poke balls. but i hope i helped

I accidently Killed azleaf on pearl, and had caught the other 2 without saving, and didnt wanna turn it off to catch azleaf. does eh come back like Palkia?

Music puts Pokemon to sleep.

I agree. Music does put Pokemon to sleep. Try it on them. Also, in Black 2, Azelf is about a 1 out of 1,000 chance of capture, I think. That's what I think because I keep fainting or keep killing it.

I found a way! This is no lie. Get a Pokemon with the ability Effect Spore. It will Poison, Paralyze, or put the Lake Guardians to Sleep! It will make your chance of capture with their health lowered 25% more!

Ways to Catch the Lake Guardians
1. Master Balls. Capture assured.
2. Quick Balls. Capture not really assured, give it a try.
3. Status Problems. Makes capture easy, due to the fact they are weak at that point.
Extremely Low HP. If you can get their HP down to at least 1, you have a great chance of capture.

I caught Azelf in fact, it's probably my main Pokemon for being my Sweeper. It's easy, lower it's health to red then make it sleep, I used Dialga with Dragon Claw, then Eggxecute with Sleep Powder then throw the Ultra Balls.
