yeah it is possible by hacking trying to get it from a egg or keep picking charmander from the beggining of the game you could get it but like die_zombie said you have to alot of patience.

Yeah,ALOT of patience.In my Ruby version,I wanted to get a shiny starter,so I restarted over 100 times,and still didn't get a shiny.So,I just kept doing it,till I got a girl(so I could breed,and get a shiny from that(I know a cheat to do that))

thanx u guys/girls i have another question u know when u pick ur starter and the pic comes up if the caharmander is a shiny charmander wil it show it as a shiny n the pic that comes up

it should, i dont know why you would bother though, shiny pokemon are no different to normal pokemon, exect that they look stupid and sparkle at the start

its a one in 8172 chance for a shiny, i believe, so try about 10000 times lol

wall some shiny pokemon are usually more stronger then the normal versions of them selfs.

you dont just breed two specific pokemon to get a shiny when it hatches out of the egg its like bleep said a one outta ten thousand chance so just keep breeding or restarting

i nerver said they were all stronger and that they had major stat diffrencs what i said was some of them can be stronger then reguler pokemon i also nerver said they are better then normal pokemon ok.

thats true, but i havent run into any shinys on my games since i started them again, and ive spent 180 hours on my crystal

yes, ive found them before, but i got 250 pokemon a lot quicker this time, so i didnt spend much time in the grass
