scizor or steelix

i need to know which is a better one to use
the both can learn only one steel move
give me some suggestions on which would be better

Steelix is better nuff said! if SGX comes by she will kill me for saying this.

Scizor:

Swords Dance
Steel Wing
Silver Wind
Aerial Ace/Wing Attack

Steelix:

Earthquake
Iron Tail
Rock Slide
Double Edge/Iron Defence

Scizor should be used as a physical sweeper. Avoid Fire types, of course. Steelix should be used as a wall, NOT an attacker due to his unfortunately average Attack power (for a huge metal snake giant, 85 base Attack power is very disappointing).

No he doesn't. He's very vulnerable to Water types, and his Special Defence is nothing special. Fire types usually end his life too, since he'll most probably be slower than them. He should be used as a physical wall.

No, it's not opinion. It's fact. He will get wiped out by Water types and Fire types.

will he well mine never and type of pokemon arnt everything the key is stradegy and using earthquake of fire types but with water types hes screwed

n_d is right. steelix has a great def. stats he's a good wall, scizzor is fast and has good attacking stats, just avoid their weakness. Fire.

Stellix has a better movepool, that's true. And his Defence is the best in the game, 200 base Defence surpasses the likes of Aggron even. Although Aggron has much better Attack power. Scizor sweeps like a demon, but has poblems with other types, namely Fire. Overall, it's difficult to say who's better. On Netbattle though, Steelix has been dubbed more useful because he is a great wall and Special Defence and HP EVs are able to be added onto him.

Though I am loyal to the fact that Scizor is better, Steelix is good too. Steelix is a tad OUed when it comes to the Steel grouping. no one appriciates the power of Scizor an' all he can do when treated right...

I'm no good with all the stat comparisons... But personally, I've found Steelix more difficult to bring down, so I'd go for Steelix. Plus, it's a huge metal snake... Enjoy its image. I've never liked Scizor much anyway. Steelix is cool.

Steelix would be much better if he had Curse and a little higher Sp.Def. Then he would be seen as a Non-Legendary Regirock. But for the simple fact that he doesn't have Curse he gets over shadowed and is rendered useless.

Whereas Scizor, if he recieves an Attack boost is an absolute monster, but he works best with a Baton Pass from Ninjask, with Speed, Attack and preferably a Sub up.

I personally prefer Scizor because Regirock makes out for a better Physical Wall than Steelix

spyro: Steelix is only hard to bring down if you lack any special attackers or a decent fightin' move. With a 4x weakness to Fightin', he's not even a good basic physical wall. Scizor has only one weakness, an' that's Fire. Makes him great until he recieves a small blow... Even Ember does a lot of damage. >~<

SGX, Fighting only does 2x damage because it's Steel/Ground, not Steel/Rock like Aggron.

In this debate, I completely side with Scizor. Steelix is ok, but I heavily prefer Scizor. Like Ben said, he makes a GREAT Baton Pass combo from Ninjask. Also, as n_d said, Steelix's sole purpose is a wall against basically anything except Fighting- and Ground-type attacks. Fire-types could mangle both Scizor and Steelix, so that's no excuse to say that Steelix is better.

Scizor just pwns. xP So of course, since he's my fav. Pokemon I side with him. But he's not pathetic an' weak unless you don't know how to set his moves. Then yur the kinda person who says "Scizor is gay!!" an' then dissapears without a trace.
