Well, I think that Gyrados is a good water pokemon, bacause it can learn a wide variety of attacks, like Earthquake.

swampert will forever be on my side because it can counter it's one only weakness (of course with 252ev on sp def). You can chose from so many movesets that people really won't predict anything from it except maybe earthquake. Let me get to the point

number 1 best water type is mashtomp,this is because its water and ground so its main weakness(eletric)has no effect on it
