Where do I catch Pokemon for Billd Grandfather to get Fire, Thunder, Leaf, etc. Stones?

1. What are the pokemon he's talking about? (right now it's "A Pokemon with a long tounge", is that lickitung)
2. Where do you catch them? (I can't find lickitung near rout 44, where the pokedex says)
3. What stones do you get in return for certain Pokemon?

Okay, I'll go from the beginning. It is Lickitung, which if found in the grass between Mohagany and Ice Path. You gotta surf past the water and you should reach some grass. Check there.

You need Vulpix(silver) and Growlithe(gold) for Fire. They're found in the grass between the Bug Catching contest and Ecruteak.

You need Pichu for Thunder stone. Breed a Pikachu/Raichu with a Ditto to get one.

You need Oddish for Leaf Stone found in Ilex Forest.

You need Staryu for Water Stone found by fishing in Olivine at night with a Super Rod.


I think that's all of em. I wrote a lot so this better help.


PS- I suggest you clone the stones after getting them so you don't run out.

And Staryu is also found at the Second Town (I haven't played it for a while).

I have Pichu (the result of hours of searching for Pikachu), Growlithe, and Oddish, but I need Staryu. I had no idea you could even GET that in G/S/C.

No problem.

If you have trouble finding Pikachu he is in the Viridian Forest area.

staryu can only be found at night time, that was probably your problem...

pikachu must be anywhere above viridian and below pewter...

Yep, I was bored and were looking for strong pokemon. Then I found him...

me finding my pikachu was a fluke, same with almost every other pokemon, i only found out how to check where pokemons nests are until i got up to the last few pokemon...

Some you have to trade. Or alot.

FIrst: Lickitung (go in the middle from Mahogony town and ice path, use surf and find a patch of grass)
Second: Oddish (Night at the forest near Izelea (sp?))
Third: Staryu (Go to the day care and use the super rod in the little pond where the pokemon are)
FOrth: Growlith (easy)
Fifth: Hmm, I don't know I haven,,t played ina while. I beleive vulpix, which you cannot get in Crystal.

Oh yeah, you can get a pika in an easy way; go to celadon and go to game corner. He is 2222 points, which is about 44000$.
