Best Johto Starter?

So, discuss which Johto starter you think is the best.

Me, I'm torn between Totodile & Cyndaquil. I like 'em both, they're awsome. I think I'll pick Cyndaquil most likely.

Cyndaquil hands down.

I just like him for some reason. Cute squinty eyes, then it evolves into some sheer awesome.

I was never really fond of Totodile or Chikorita. =/

Cyndaquil, obviously. It's the only pure fire type, and Typhlosion has a killer moveset and amazing special attack. Not to mention that it's freaking cute.

Well given I got my Johto starters from Colosseum the first time around. I picked based on their last evolved form. Charizard wins hands down, but playing the games more and more and knowing what I know about em. I am saying Feraligator is my pick.

In G/S/C it was Cyndaquil. Despite being a pure Fire type, it had the best and most accessible movepool and was the only good Fire type you could find early on enough in the game due to the absence of evolution stones (ruling out Arcanine and Ninetales). Totodile was good but many of its moves were hard to access (damn tutor or breeding moves). Chikorita was an average Grass pokemon that nobody really liked because Grass pokemon weren't much good at all in G/S/C, at least not until you reach Kanto.

I always picked Cyndaquil, and added Alakazam (man, was he good back then), Machamp, Gengar, Ampharos and Quagsire to my team. In Crystal, since Ampharos was stupidly unavailable, the sixth pokemon was a HM slave.

Man, Cyndaquil's cute, then you got Typhlosion who's just amazingly awesome. I remember I got him to Level 100 in Silver.. With help from my brother. :3

Totadile would be second, then Chikorita. I just hate how Meganium looks... Has a crappy name, too.

Cyndaquil because he is so awesome and had good movesets.

I always used to pick Cyndaquil, but then one day on one of my many replays of the game, I chose Totodile.

Now it's Totodile. And my other main Pokemon are usually a Gastly you can catch extremely early on, which is great once trained up, a Spearow, a Nidoran and eventually a Growlithe.

And depending on the game I'm playing, the one that eventually evolves into Ampharos. Goddamn that thing is beast.

Ampharos isn't a starter form <:.

It's always the Fire starter, in this case, Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion.

I'm going to say the best is Cyndaquil, but my favorite as just a starter form is Totodile. He just looks cool. Maybe not as cute as Cyndaquil. I do prefer Typhlosion to Feraligatr, though.

I know that, I was just saying he'd be in my party, like the other Pokemon I listed.

Really? I think Feraligatr looks much cooler.

I like Chikorita, it's cute <3.

But it sucks, and I like Wate pokemon better than Fire, so Totadile wins for me.

Probably gonna choose Cyndaquil, mainly because I started with a Chikorita in Crystal, and the fact my brother is gonna start with Totodile. I'll probably add Ampharos, Hitmontop, Alakazam, and probably Furret as my HM Slave.
EDIT: Alright, I'm gonna choose Chikorita. He's probably my favorite one and Cyndaquil makes the game easier than it already is.

I like Chikorita (best in looks)
But when play G/S/C, I usually got Cydiquil, it was so easy to train! I usually pick the water starter, but eh... Feraligatr isn't one I like ]:

I wonder if the glitch to copy pokemon will be back. I used that to get the other 2 starterd when I played Silver. The Silver I have now is from someone else. I might pick it back up to revitalze my Johto knowledge.

I doubt it. It'll probably be amongst their list of things to fix from the original ones.

I like Chikorita the best but it isn't too good so I'm going with Tododile
