Red Gyarados

Do you think if we traded the Red Gyarados over to Sinnoh, it would still be red?
I'm wondering how that'll work, 'cause if Platinum could handle it, wouldn't there have already been a cheat for it?

It's not a HG/SS exclusive. It's just another ordinary Shiny Pokemon. (Without the whole Red Scale thing)

I thought shiny Gyrados was the Red Gyrados?
I'll look into this, when I get as far as capturing it I'll try sending it to Sinnoh and see what happens, gonna take a while as I've only just got the Togepi egg a while ago.

If you look at the shiny sprite its red (you might have gotten confused becuse they changed he sprite alot) so shoundn't it work?

Plus it gets the little sparkle animation just like all other shinies in G/S/C. I don't know why you think it isn't.

It says it is NOW, but I remember seeing it when HeartGold and SoulSilver weren't even being planned, back when the Sinnoh games had first come out. It was not red.

I don't know where you saw it, but it obviously wasn't a reliable source. Shiny Gyarados has always been red in every generation.

It wasn't purple! It has been red ever since shiny Pokemon were released! Even Nate's link proves that you're wrong.

What the hell kind of pictures are you looking at? Gyarados's shiny form has always been red. It was red in G/S/C and it'll always be red...unless Nintendo decides for a change.

The Red Gyarados from G/S/C was a Shiny, the first Shiny pokemon a person was guaranteed to find(it's not hard) and with a little skill, catch.

If it was Purple, and not red. Find the ORIGINAL pic, and show me.

I remember seeing its Serebii page and noticing it was purple. Believe me, don't believe me...but that's really what I saw.
