You'll Thank Me For This

I've been taking a look around at other sites and what cheats they've created, and it's simply outstanding what people have made. There's sprite modifiers, music modifiers, event codes already... You NEED to get an Action Replay before these games come out, I'm dead serious.

What? This is a huge step for hackers, Volke! If you could actually test all these new codes out, you'd be fangasming over them too!

Wow, that's great. I still won't stray beyond the basics though, events, items, money. Too messy, too risky imo.

I hope they have a fully changeable trainer by the time the English games come out. I mean when you're in battles and stuff, and on your trainer card. Right now you can walk around as any sprite in the 4th generation, even Pok�mon. But only the heroes and heroines actually run when you have the Running Shoes button pressed. Everyone else slides.

Honestly, I don't trust these codes. Reason being its highly probable they can either destroy the game, or completely mess up the code for whats to happen in the game.

Reminds me of the time a friend of mine overdid it with a cheating device (can't remember which one) and eventually kept encountering nothing but Totodiles on Pokemon Ruby, regardless of whether he was using the cheating device or not, even on a new save file. He still sold the game to a video games store, though. It's not like they actually check them.

You might be right about messing up the game coding, though. The guy who made the cheats even said himself that you should back up your game before using the cheats. Ah, but I don't care right now. It's not like I can understand what everyone's saying in the Japanese game anyway. xD

And I've worked with sprite changing codes. It always ended up in a fried game cartage for me.. =/

And sprite changing codes? NO, NO, NO! That is PURE wrong, they never even made one for Platinum/Diamond/Pearl.

Well, Gold does look really cool in comparison to most other male heroes, but I can't resist becoming Silver and Falkner. <3

That's because there wasn't any data for other trainers running or using HMs and stuff. They never made one because they couldn't. >_>

They haven't completely debugged the alternate trainer sprites yet, but I'm sure they will someday.

I've always wanted to see a feature that lets you design your own hero, eh, maybe in the 5th gen. Regardless, the only hackin' I'll do with HG/SS is to get event stuff, money, & items.

I might do the same when I get an English game. The sprite cheats have a backdraw to them. If you do something your alternate sprite can't do, like picking an apricot from a tree, then it'll revert to your selected hero, and occasionally freeze up when you're passing through to another route. But, it might just be the ROM, I'm not sure.

Mostly I'd agree with coach with this though. Stick with the ones that are trusted.

I think that using the AR on it is a waste in general until you complete the game in all honesty.
Or in my case, using it to just speed up the game little, my game data wiped when my flash card got formatted, so I've started again with cheats for all TMs and medicine items, if only to help speed the game up because I got to the either gym and then I had to restart.
I never go into stuff like sprite changing though, it's pointless to me tbh.
