how do i get them to fight me i beat the elite four but they arent budging at all they just dismiss me lol somebody help

If you mean on One Island, you have to take up the Ruby and Sapphire quest first, headed to Five Island and reached the Rocket Warehouse which you need two passwords to enter.

yeah do the ruby and sapphire challenge thing, then talk to em, and battle them.
Snorlax is so fat, I thought it was a mountain when it was Blocking Rt. 16, ,so I tried climbing it

This is kinda late, but r u sure u have to catch 60 different pokemons? U see, i have done that n i still cant fight them.
U need the ruby to be able to go to island 5, so i cant do that.
Is there something wrong with my gameboy?

The full requirements are to get the Nat'l dex: Defeat the Indigo Plateau Champion (your rival), have 60 Pokemon recorded as CAUGHT. Once you have these filled, goto the pair of Rocket Grunts at Mt. Ember. When you defeat them both, go in. That's where the Ruby is. Take it and give it to Celio. He'll ask you to go get the Sapphire, so he'll give you the Rainbow Pass. NOW goto Island 6 and head SOUTH by water. After climbing through a hilly area, you'll find the Dotted Hole. Grab some paper or something and a key to Braille. Everything in Dotted Hole is written in Braille, which will tell you how to get the Sapphire. When you get to the Sapphire, a Rocket Scientist will steal it to the 5 Island hideout. Goto the Rocket Hideout on Island 5, and battle your way through to get the Sapphire. Give it to Celio.
