I was able to obtain a mew inside the ancient relic due to a monster house. My pokemon leader was a level fifty eight charizard that was not holding a friend bow. I also consider this very odd because there are many other members of this website who have level one hundred pokemon holding friends bows who are not able to obtain this item.

obi wan didn't say mew is an item, he said mew isn't an item. lol. and what was the point of this topic? I mean, the same thing happened to me, except I was a level 62 pikachu not holding a friend bow, and the mew that befriended me was alone, although the first one I encountered was in a monster house. I have a question about mew though, you know how if you release it you can get another one in buried relic? well can you do the same for other legendaries or does releasing them make them dissapear forever? this might be off topic, but then again, there wasn't much to say that was on topic.

I used my other swampert(lvl49) w/o friend bow and got him on floor 90!I got very lucky.

it's not all luck, it's part how you insure your odds. using a friend bow, being over level 90, and being lucario rank, are all things that affect how likely pokemon are to befriend you, and they are not based on luck. although jabin here did get very lucky.

Sometimes it depends on the level difference you have a better chance if you are far away from each others levels and there is .01 chance of recruting mew.
