for me it would be any fire and water combo though my combo was chimchar and mudkip

Pikachu is the best leader/partner in this game. However, I choose Chimchar+Turtwig for a challenge.

Yeah, Pikachu is. Has a pretty good moveset, andthe only electric type! I have pikachu as leader with a mudkip.(mudkip are cool)

This thread's really a matter of opinion. I'd go for Charmander as leader, and Piplup as my partner. I've been used to the whole fire/water combination in Mystery Dungeon.

I picked Pikachu as my partner in the first myster dungeon, it made it way easier to kill the legendary birds.

i would say that any pokemon that's fire with pikachu as a partner or the other way around. it's pretty awesome. but another good combo is a water and a fire: specifically chimchar to help defeat dialga. chimchar is fighting and fire who can learn dig i think, and any water could actually learn ice moves to help deafeat. you gotta think ahead to dialga.

Chimchar is only Fire type. Only when it evolves into Monferno or higher to Infernape is it a Fighting type Pokemon. And as I know, all starters can learn Dig, not only Chimchar, so any Pokemon is OK. Ice type attacks only do a slightly more than 1x damage on Dialga (the match-up system in this game is a bit different from normal series). | ||

palkia level 100 leader parthner starter level 100 other parhtner starter level 100 so you cant lose any pokemon because you dont lose leader palkia and you cant lose starters cause you need them for the bosses so make it like that and best starter is charizard and pikachu you choose who leader or parthner because there bothh great

My cousin said that a good combo nation is eletrice and fire my team is pikachu the leader and charmander partner but now it's richu and charizard.
I deafeted darkrie with NO reviver seeds! I have all the legendarys on my team and on hiper rank! | ||

I personally think Torchic is a good pokemon to choose (both as leader or partner) cause it can learn dig. And also it can learn mirror move. For example dialga uses roar of time at Torchic BOOM it bounces back to dialga! And also learn your partner dig too (Rock slide is useful too). My Hero is Torchic and my partner is Treecko!
